Exclusively Themed has been run by Laura Millar for over twenty five years - providing quality visual services and customer satisfaction to demanding entertainments and media industries. She is now focused on providing both mobile and online/virtual total look design services plus education - training up a new generation of styling specialists. Bespoke, 1 to 1 tuition available.

MOBILE or ONLINE/VIRTUAL DESIGN SERVICES

Laura has an interesting and unusual variety of artistic offerings to choose from. Look around the website, and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact her. She can email through detailed artwork (face/body charts, costume/accessory designs, interior/display, branding ideas) and sample style mood-boards, together with quotes. Unique designs can be swiftly delivered online. She will work day and night - and will do everything she can to meet your expectations.

MOBILE or ONLINE/VIRTUAL DESIGN TUITION

Laura can provide college lectures, workshops and training days for CPD (Continual Professional Development) and ENRICHMENT. She's based in London and but can travel globally or mentor/teach online/virtually. Her online guru/mentoring services are perfect for those not wishing or being able to travel. Show your portfolio of work to her online and get her opinion and guidance. She provides training (both certificate and accredited) in beauty and fashion/photographic make-up, hair, face/body art, special fx/casualty, theatrical and film character/period make-up, camouflage, costume design services, plus total look styling for live events/competition. Art and Design instruction is available too. She can train you how to present your work (and yourself) to agencies and high profile clients. For arts workshops (designing mood boards, face/body charts, costumes/prop display and interiors) she can go into schools, colleges and academies. Her media styling workshops plus skill taster sessions are for creative arts students.

Tutor & Mentor Description

Creative Director & Lecturer, Laura Millar, is a stylist.

She has studied the arts (graphic design/photography/history of art with a range of creative disciplines) plus the performing arts (dance/music/drama).

She started Exclusively Themed in 1998 as a bespoke entertainments and production arts agency – specialising in Total Look Styling (hair/make-up/costume/face and body art/special fx) services for performers for spectacular 1 x day live events and high-end international parties.

Fashion Shows and Film were added.

She has demonstrated and instructed on beauty make-up and camouflage for private clients - and has a vast knowledge on historical/global make-up and body art techniques (with a mini museum of product samples/traditional receptacles).

She has taught BTEC, UAL & VTCT governing body Level 2 & 3 - Beauty/Performance/Theatrical/Media/Photographic Hair & Make-Up for various Colleges/Private Make-Up Schools. She is an Assessor and Internal Verifier.

Laura is again focusing on her graphic design and themed interiors work - which compliments her vast array of styling capabilities. These visual skills are used for bespoke branding projects for a multitude of promotional disciplines and products.

Materials

In order to fully participate in the practical exercises please have the following materials/equipment for the first class:

Notepad and pen
A computer with an operating system for SKYPE/Zoom/Microsoft Teams or mobile phone with WhatsApp
An installation of the Google Chrome web browser
Microphone/Headphones (a headset with microphone/headphones is recommended)
Webcam
A good broadband connection or SIM card.
